June 2026 Newsletter

Deb's Niche

Welcome to my June 2026 newsletter, featuring sneak peeks into what I'm working on and more personal information. June is a BIG month. Love's Perfect Foundation has been released, a new chapter in my author journey is officially open, and I have a confession to make about bacon.

Dylan's story is finally here, and it's free! If you do nothing else after reading this newsletter, grab your copy of Love's Perfect Foundation by clicking the big pink button below, before you scroll past it. You're going to want to know this man before Love's Perfect Match drops. 🤩 As a HUGE favor to me, even if you're not interested in the book, if you could just click on the link and get the book from BookFunnel, that will help my "reputation" in BookFunnel to have some clicks!

FAMILY FACTS

June is the month that can't decide what it wants to be.

It starts out acting like spring, breezy, optimistic, smelling faintly of sunscreen and someone's backyard grill. Then somewhere around the middle it remembers it's supposed to be summer and cranks the dial to "please don't touch the steering wheel without an oven mitt."

We're only a few days in, and it has already snuck up on me, because I have been too busy writing, editing, marketing, learning, and apparently transforming a backyard playhouse into something out of a storybook to notice that spring was quietly packing its bags and heading out.

Two of my four-year-old granddaughters came to visit this past weekend, and I may have gone just a little overboard preparing for them. The playhouse got a full redecorating. There is a tea party set up on the table. The gazebo has a castle situation happening that I am not entirely sorry about.

I spent a lot of time on it. Worth every minute.

I won't share photos of the girls, but the setting? That I will show you. Because sometimes being a grandmother means you get to build the world you always wanted to play in, and then invite the best people you know to come enjoy it with you.

And yes, I did have more fun setting it up than they probably had playing in it. Zero regrets.

And if you want to find out more about my journey to find myself during retirement, check out last month's blog post here:

📚 READER'S CORNER 📚

Friends, as you know from my intro, it's here.

Love's Perfect Foundation, Dylan's story, the prequel novella to Love's Perfect Design, is officially available as a free download.

If you've read Love's Perfect Design and wondered why Dylan walks into Brynnlee's life with walls so high you'd need scaffolding to see over them, this is your answer. This is the story that happens before the story. The relationships that shaped him. The moment he decided he was done. You might find yourself a little exasperated with him. That's normal. I was too.

Click the link below to grab your free copy, and if you know someone who loves clean Christian romance, please pass it along. Word of mouth from readers I trust is worth more than any ad I could ever run.

TOTALLY TRIVIA

Book facts. 👀

Over the last eight months, I've lost 65 pounds on the Carnivore diet. After trying multiple diets during my last 43 years of life (somewhere in the 50-60 range), this one worked. It is now my lifestyle. The Carnivore diet and I have something in common with Dylan: we both got a second chance after what didn't work multiple times before.

Dylan's story in Love's Perfect Foundation is about what happens when you stop trusting the process, and what it takes to finally let yourself try again and trust God.
